Terms of use
Simple rules for a signal that has to be real.
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Scope
These terms govern the use of tapco.app, Tapco cards, and public pages associated with businesses. By using the service, requesting a card, or leaving a review, you accept these rules and the privacy policy.
What Tapco does
Tapco helps physical businesses collect and display reviews from people who visited them. The physical card starts the experience; the person rates it, may write an opinion, and the review stays on the business public Tapco page. We do not guarantee a specific number of reviews, sales, visits, or search results.
The card and the business
Anyone managing a business agrees to use the card only at the authorized business or point, keep published information accurate, and not present it in a misleading way. If the service is paused or cancelled, the card may remain physically at the business, but its linked functions and links may be disabled.
A real visit
Tapco uses technical signals and limited-use links to reduce fake reviews. It is forbidden to copy, alter, automate, forward, or use the service to simulate a visit; request reviews from people who were not there; or interfere with verification. We may suspend a card, page, or account if we detect use that compromises the system’s trust.
Reviews and content
Anyone leaving a review is responsible for making it honest and having the right to publish what they write. False, illegal, discriminatory, threatening, offensive content, content that reveals third-party personal data, or content that infringes another person’s rights is not allowed. A review is not professional advice and does not necessarily represent Tapco’s opinion.
We may moderate, hide, or remove content that breaks these rules, creates a security risk, or receives a substantiated complaint. A business cannot delete or edit a review simply because it does not like it; it may contact us if it believes the review breaches these terms.
Tapco loyalty programs
Tapco may enable a business’s own loyalty campaigns, such as points, benefits, or rewards for completing feedback within Tapco. These benefits must be granted for participating, not based on star count, positive text, or changing or deleting an opinion. Each campaign must clearly state what it offers, who organizes it, its duration, conditions, limits, and how to redeem it.
Reviews that are part of a loyalty campaign will be identified as such when displayed publicly and may be shown separately from organic reviews. Tapco will not present a review connected to a benefit as a spontaneous opinion without saying so.
Tapco and Google Reviews are not the same
Tapco is an independent platform. It associates an interaction with an active Tapco card assigned to the business and applies controls to reduce abuse; it then publishes the review on that business’s public Tapco page. Google Reviews is a Google service: the person decides whether to share their opinion there from their own account, and Google decides whether that contribution is accepted, shown, changed, or removed.
Tapco is not a Google product, does not act on Google’s behalf, and does not guarantee the position, visibility, publication, or permanence of a review on Google. Sharing is never automatic.
A Google opinion cannot be bought
Tapco is designed to respect Google Maps and Google Reviews content policies. Businesses may invite all customers to share a genuine experience. They may not offer money, discounts, free products, points, raffles, benefits, or any other direct or indirect incentive in exchange for a review, rating, change, or removal of an opinion on Google.
They may not request only positive reviews, discourage negative ones, demand five stars, tell someone what to write, use another person’s or fake accounts, or pressure a person to post on Google. A session participating in a Tapco loyalty campaign will not show an invitation to share on Google. If a business tries to circumvent this rule, we may disable its access. Google may also remove contributions or apply restrictions to its Business Profile.
Sharing on Google is optional
After writing a review on Tapco, a person may choose to share the same text on Google. This is a separate, voluntary, personal action. The business does not decide for them and may not make a purchase, service, or benefit conditional on that decision. When sharing on Google, Google’s terms, privacy policy, and content policies apply.
Availability, changes, and support
We work to keep Tapco available, but interruptions may occur due to maintenance, providers, connectivity, or causes outside our control. We may change, improve, suspend, or withdraw features when reasonable. If a change materially affects a contracted service, we will communicate it through available channels.
Commercial conditions
Price, payment method, duration, scope, and the particular conditions of each business are confirmed during onboarding. Those conditions supplement these terms. If there is a conflict, the specific commercial condition communicated for that business prevails.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tapco is not responsible for business decisions made from a review, third-party content, or changes to external platforms. Nothing in these terms limits rights that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect changes in Tapco or applicable law. The current version will always appear on this page with its update date. If you have questions or want to report content, write to hola@tapco.app.
