Who this applies to
This policy explains how Tapco handles data from people who visit tapco.app, request a card, manage a business on Tapco, or leave a review through one of its cards. It applies to data we receive directly and to technical records created while using the service.
Data we may process
If you request a card, we receive your name, email, phone number if provided, business category, city or neighborhood, and business name. To operate the service, we may process the business name and public information, its points of use, and reviews received: stars, optional text, date and time, and the physical point where the experience began.
Technical data is also generated so Tapco can work and prevent abuse: IP address, a technical device identifier, device type, and the review link status and expiry. If the browser requests location and the person grants permission, we may receive approximate coordinates to verify that use occurred at the business. We do not request location without permission.
Why we use it
We use this data to answer requests, configure a card and each business public page, record reviews, prevent forwarding or automation, detect misuse, provide support, and understand how the product works. We may also use aggregated data —without identifying a person— to improve Tapco.
What becomes public
Opinions started from Tapco may appear on the business public page with the rating, the text written by the person, and a date reference. We do not publish IP addresses, technical identifiers, precise location, or contact details of the reviewer.
A review stays on Tapco first. Sharing it on Google is a separate decision by the person who wrote it; Tapco does not publish it automatically and does not control what Google does with that content. If the person chooses to share it, Google handles that post under its own terms and policies, including data and attribution associated with their account.
Lawful use and decisions
We process data needed to provide the service and data a person provides voluntarily. When a feature requires a device permission, such as location, we ask for it then. You may refuse it; the feature that relies on that permission may not be available.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share it with providers we need to host, operate, maintain, or protect Tapco, only for those purposes. We may also disclose it where a valid legal obligation requires it or to protect rights, safety, and service operation.
Retention and security
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve requests, prevent fraud, and meet applicable obligations. Review links expire and do not remain active forever. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards; no internet-connected system can promise absolute security.
Your rights
You can request information about your data, access it, correct it, update it, or request deletion by writing to hola@tapco.app. Argentine law recognizes these rights and the Agency for Access to Public Information is the supervisory authority. If you receive Tapco communications, you may also ask not to receive non-essential messages.
Minors and changes
Tapco is intended for adults who manage businesses and customers who leave an opinion about a real visit. If we identify data from minors processed without the corresponding authorization, we will seek to remove it. We may update this policy when the service or applicable law changes; the update date will appear at the top of this page.
